DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze the configuration of the new Facial Recognition systems prepared by the System Engineering team. Set up the machines (to include HW and SW, both OS and application SW) composing the new Facial Recognition system Must have ability and willingness to travel (including international travel), approximately one week every 4 to 6 weeks; sometimes 3- or 4-week missions for the deployment of a new system Load the Customer’s data onto the new Facial Recognition system and perform reconciliation of the data. Go to the Customers’ sites for final deployment of the new Facial Recognition systems: the typical duration of a deployment mission is 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the Facial Recognition system Final deployment consists of: configuration of the system in the Customer’s environment, set up of the operators’ accounts, fine tuning of the database server and match subsystem configuration, Customer’s Acceptance Test, system Go Live. Analyze and troubleshoot complex system performance situations requiring an in-depth and extended knowledge of the systems, implying some time to work extended hours outside of the normal business hours. Must have a system view, but be detail oriented at the same time. Must have a solid common sense and analysis/troubleshooting skills to determine the root cause of the problems. Must feel comfortable and be able to make sound technical decisions in tense situations: for example, troubleshooting a system which stopped working and prevents the Customer from conducting his normal work. Works under the supervision of the Systems Engineer, Project Manager and Program Manager, in terms of task assignment, task prioritization, and high level technical issues. Must have excellent inter-personal skills; this position requires daily contact with various team members in the Project Engineering and Support Department, Account Managers as well as customers’ representatives during missions on-site. MINIMUM SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: BSCS or equivalent 6-7 yrs of experience in network administration, ideally with LINUX (RedHat) and Windows Knowledge of C++, Python, or other scripting languages (5 years). Will be writing scripts to automate certain tasks. Excellent inter-personal skills, preferably with experience in an international environment. Must be able to work extended hours, when required, specifically for deploying new Facial Recognition systems under tight schedule constraints or troubleshooting system failures preventing a Customer from conducting their normal work.
